This Pricing & Fees Policy explains the fees that may apply when using The House of Blackness (“THOB”) for event creation, ticket sales, bookings and related services.
1. Ticket Prices
Event organisers are responsible for setting the ticket prices for their events unless otherwise agreed with THOB.
Ticket prices are displayed to customers before payment and may vary depending on:
Event type
Ticket category
Early-bird availability
General admission
VIP or premium access
Promotional offers
Other ticketing options provided by the organiser
2. THOB Service Fees
THOB may charge service, platform or booking fees for tickets purchased through the Platform.
Where applicable, any THOB service fee will be displayed to the customer before the purchase is completed.
The applicable fee may vary depending on the event, ticket type, transaction value and services provided.
3. Payment Processing Fees
Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers, including Stripe.
Payment-processing fees may apply to transactions and may be incorporated into the applicable ticketing or platform fees.
4. Taxes
Applicable taxes, duties or government charges may apply depending on the transaction, customer location, event location and applicable law.
Where applicable, taxes will be displayed or included in the price presented to the customer.
5. Organiser Fees
Event organisers using THOB may be subject to platform, service, transaction, payment-processing or other applicable fees.
Any applicable organiser fees will be communicated through the Platform or the organiser's applicable agreement with THOB.
Fees may be deducted from ticket proceeds before settlement to the organiser where applicable.
6. Free Events
Organisers may create and list free events through THOB where this functionality is available.
No ticket purchase price is charged to the attendee for a free event.
Additional platform or service fees may apply where separately specified.
7. Promotions and Discounts
THOB or event organisers may offer promotional pricing, discounts, promotional codes or other special offers.
Promotional offers may be subject to specific terms, eligibility requirements, availability and expiry dates.
Only one or more promotional offers may apply to a transaction where expressly permitted.
8. Currency
Prices are displayed in the currency selected or supported by the relevant event or transaction.
The final amount payable will be displayed before the customer completes payment.
Where a payment provider or financial institution performs currency conversion, additional exchange-rate differences or charges may apply.
9. Refunds and Fees
Refund eligibility is governed by the applicable event refund policy, the THOB Terms of Service and applicable law.
Where a refund is approved, applicable service or processing fees may be refundable or non-refundable depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
Any applicable refund information will be communicated to the customer.
10. Price Changes
Event organisers may change ticket prices or availability before tickets are purchased.
Changes to ticket pricing will not affect a completed purchase unless required by law or otherwise expressly agreed.
THOB may change its own service or platform fees from time to time.
Any applicable fees will be presented to users before they complete a transaction.
11. Transaction Confirmation
Before completing a ticket purchase, customers will be shown the applicable ticket price and any applicable fees and charges.
By completing the transaction, the customer confirms the total amount displayed at checkout.
A confirmation will normally be sent to the email address provided during checkout.
